This neighborhood park is located in the Awbrey Park neighborhood along the river canyon rim, and has a playground, open lawn, a paved pathway, mature landscaping, and drinking fountain.
There is a unpaved trail connection down to the Deschutes River Trail and to Sawyer Park through the natural area in the park. A portion of the park includes canyon walls, natural areas and a steep ravine.

Sawyer Uplands Park is a neighborhood park acquired in 1995 with Trust for Public Land. It was developed in 2006. The name for the park was recommended by staff, as it had been referred to Sawyer Uplands after acquisition, and lies on the rim of the canyon adjacent to Sawyer Park.
