The district’s Comprehensive Plan is a tool used by park planners and the board of directors to plan for growth in parks, trails, and facility, and for recreation program needs.
Based on input from the community, the plan helps guide the future of the district over a ten-year time frame. The district created its first comprehensive plan in 1980 which was subsequently reviewed and updated in 1986, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2005, 2012 and 2018.
The 2018 Comprehensive Plan was developed over a two-year period and informed by over 17,000 public comments. A 2023 mid-term update of this plan is currently in process. To receive updates on the mid-term comprehensive plan update, please fill out the form below.
