The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is a planning tool that implements the district’s Comprehensive Plan, focusing on the acquisition and development of parks, trails, and recreation facilities for the following five-year period, as well as maintenance and improvement projects to existing amenities.
BPRD develops and maintains the CIP that is amended each year during the annual budgeting process. It is reviewed and revised by the board of directors in order to prioritize the most important needs and to recognize budget constraints. The plan is drafted in April and adopted in June for the next Fiscal Year, which is effective July 1st – June 30th.
