Give Play – Support Recreation Scholarships
Bend Park & Recreation Foundation raises private funds to support scholarships for Bend Park & Recreation District programs. The Recreation Scholarship Fund helps reduce barriers to participation in recreation programs that encourage healthy lifestyles, promote self-confidence and teach life-long lessons. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and are offered to support children, families and people with disabilities.
When you “Give Play” – your donation directly supports recreation scholarships for people in our community. In 2012, close to $200,000 was awarded in scholarships for children to participate in swim lessons, play on a sports team, be part of safe, active childcare, learn and grow in creative after school programs and much more.
