Juniper Swim & Fitness Center Volunteers

Jump in and volunteer!
Volunteers provide support to fitness and swim programs for people of all ages. Choose the program that best fits your interests and talents. We need you!

Weight Room Assistant - You will be trained to help others use the fitness equipment safely to get the most from their workout.

Fitness Class Assistant - Use your experience to help the instructor run a successful class. Assist with sign in and equipment for the participants.

Fitness Instructor - Gain practical experience with leading programs and assisting existing classes. Approval by fitness staff required.

Kid's Corner/Child Care - Have fun assisting with games, crafts, and story time for young children ages 6 months to 6 years at our on-site childcare center. Prior experience working with young children is preferred.

Busy Buddies Club - Help provide a fun fitness program for young children - on land and in the water! Prior experience working with young children is preferred.

Therapeutic Recreation and Adapted Aquatics - Volunteers assist patrons on land or in the pool with their fitness or therapy program. Training is provided.

Junior Lifeguard Program - Teen volunteers ages 12-15 assist the lifeguard staff. Volunteers must attend training and commit to one day per week throughout the summer.

How to Volunteer:
Download Volunteer Application and Criminal History Verification (ages 18 and over).

Forms may also be dropped off at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center or the Bend Senior Center.

After we receive your application and criminal history form, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to schedule an appointment for a district orientation. Once the district orientation and criminal history verification are completed, you will be connected with the program supervisor for the area you wish to volunteer. The supervisor will schedule a time to meet with you for training and to get you started with volunteering.

Volunteers under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the volunteer application in order to volunteer.
