Bend Senior Center

Light Refreshments

Join us for a special Valentine’s Day screening of the new documentary The Age of Love written and directed by Steven Loring. This film offers “a touching and funny look into the lives of seniors who just want to find love.” The story follows the comic and poignant adventures of thirty Rochester seniors who attend an unprecedented speed dating event for 70-90 year-olds. Fearlessly candid about their needs and desires, these WWII babies soon discover how the search for love changes-or doesn’t change-from first love to the far reaches of life.

Defeating stereotypes and linking generations, the film opens minds and conversations to the needs  and desires of our booming older population. As one 74-year old speed dater puts it, “No one, not even my children, asks me what’s in my heart anymore.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to watch this great film! This event is brought to you in partnership with Whispering Winds Retirement.
